Panasonic Smart Viera Line-up revealed

Panasonic has shown off its iOS compatible Smart Viera plasma HDTV Line-up at CES.
Panasonic has unveiled a major refresh of its Viera range, adding 16 new models with a range of features including Android and iOS compatibility, voice interaction and the new Touch Pen accessory.
The 2013 Smart Viera Plasma line-up allows users to transfer photos and videos to the TV from their Android or iOS devices directly to the screen, dubbed the ‘Swipe and Share’ feature, users swipe their finger towards the TV in order for their photos and videos to be displayed on-screen.
As well as viewing photos on their TV, Panasonic has introduced the ability for users to add their own writing to their photos on screen via their tablet or smartphone by using the optional Electronic Touch Pen accessory.
Also added to the popular range of TVs is Voice Guidance; an accessibility function that utilises text-to-speech technology in order to read-out text content as it appears on screen. As well as the Voice Guidance feature, Panasonic has added Voice Interaction, which enables users to search through content on the TV by speaking into the Smart Touch Pad Controller, or through the Viera Remote 2 app on their tablets and smartphones and will display search results on screen.
Unlike other manufacturers, Panasonic hasn’t joined in on the big-screen TV war; however the range includes 16 new models, across 5 series ranging from 42 inch -65 inch. At the top of end of the range is the 60 inch to 65 inch Full HD 3D ZT60 series which Panasonic says offers a “beyond the reference” level of picture quality, whilst the lower end S60 and X60 non-3D series come in 42-50 inch forms.
The 2013 line of Viera TVs is said to be available from February 2013, however no information is available on pricing as of yet.
